1. Purpose and Scope
This Fair Use Policy explains how Servbase enforces sustainable and equitable platform usage across shared and managed infrastructure.
Even where plans are described as generous or broad, usage remains subject to reasonable technical and operational limits necessary to protect service reliability and other users.
2. Reasonable Use Expectations
- Use resources in a way consistent with normal application hosting, deployment, and support operations.
- Respect plan limits, rate limits, and published capacity boundaries.
- Avoid sustained patterns that materially degrade shared infrastructure performance.
3. Prohibited Resource Abuse
Examples of unfair use include, without limitation:
- Excessive automated traffic or scraping that degrades platform stability.
- Compute abuse, long-running abusive workloads, or resource starvation behavior.
- Bandwidth abuse and abnormal transfer patterns that materially impact shared capacity.
- Storage abuse, including disproportionate or abusive file hosting patterns inconsistent with plan purpose.
- Email/API abuse, spam-triggering behavior, or abusive request flooding patterns.
- Repeated attempts to circumvent limits, pricing controls, or enforcement thresholds.
4. How We Evaluate Fair Use
Servbase may evaluate fair use based on multiple factors, including:
- Usage patterns over time and sustained peak behavior.
- Impact on platform stability, availability, and other users.
- Security risk profile and abuse indicators.
- Infrastructure cost and operational burden created by account behavior.
5. Fair Use Enforcement Actions
Where unfair use is identified, Servbase may apply one or more measures:
- Traffic shaping, throttling, or rate limiting.
- Feature restriction, temporary service suspension, or workload controls.
- Upgrade requirement, migration to more appropriate plan tier, or pricing adjustment.
- Termination in severe, repeated, or intentionally abusive cases.
6. User Cooperation
You agree to cooperate in remediation steps when notified of excessive or abusive usage. Failure to cooperate may result in immediate enforcement action under the Terms and Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Policy Updates
Servbase reserves the right to update this Fair Use Policy at any time to reflect service evolution, abuse trends, legal obligations, and infrastructure requirements. Where legally permitted, continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
8. Legal Notice
This Fair Use Policy is part of the binding policy framework governing your use of Servbase services.
